We have cleansing runes for weapons; is it possible to make armor cleansing runes, to protect against red lyrium?

They were originally applied architecturally, yes? I'd sooner consider the theory behind them before beginning, but I don't expect much difficulty.

I see less purpose in attaching them to weaponry. Could you describe your reasons for doing so? The effect in action?

I don't have a cleansing rune for my weapon, but I've heard it's effective against Red Templars and red lyrium.

Which isn't nothing, but I'm more interested in the protective potential of those kind of runes.

I'll make inquiries. If they work to disrupt the pattern of crystal growth, or to cleanse the immediate area — I doubt it'd do much for ingested matter, but they could assist in incidental skin contact. At least we might prevent the corruption of materials frequently exposed. Did you have a sample project in mind?

I wanted to know if it was even possible, first, but I definitely wouldn't mind upgrading my armor should this not be a dead-end. I'm part of the naval presence project, not the red lyrium one, but a massive amount of red lyrium got into the water off the coast of Rivain. If that shit reaches us here or anywhere the Inquisition sends us, we're going to need some protection.

It's unlikely we'll be able to purify water at any scale by runic methods. That quantity of lyrium would bankrupt us, even if we could prevent its corruption in turn. But the ocean is large —
